A: The Creek to Bay Cleanup is a part of a larger event called the Great American Cleanup that spans nationwide.  This Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest community improvement program, involving an estimated 2.8 million volunteers.  In 2007, volunteers dedicated more than 7.7 million hours to beautify and improve over 17,000 communities in all 50 states.
